A message from Convention Chairman Dave Greim:
The convention committee is seeking voluntary donations. We'd like to use the giant video GLOBE during the banquet.
We're looking for around $1500, if anyone would like to help us out. It would be greatly appreciated and would enhance that evening. PM me or email me at jolie116mm@aol.com

Shorts Night!
An Evening of Short Films
Wearing shorts is encouraged, but not required...
Saturday April 4 from 5:00 to 8:30 pm (Doors open 4:30) at:
First Lutheran Church, 867 S Lincoln Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020
Donation is $10 per person and includes refreshments. FREE for Kids 12 and under.
Our cartoon is "Porky's Five and Ten" (1938). Next is "Los Angeles, Wonder City of the West" (1935) — a color "traveltalk" about Los Angeles.
Next is "Night Owls" (1930). Police Officer Edgar Kennedy forces Stan and Ollie to burglarize the police chief's house so Kennedy can take credit for catching them. What could go wrong?
In Scram!" (1932), a judge orders our favorite vagrants to leave town. A drunk gentleman invites them to stay at his mansion, except... it's the wrong house!
To honor baseball season, we'll show the other Babe -- Babe Ruth -- in "Slide, Babe, Slide" (1932).
In "With Love and Hisses" (1927), Stan is in the army and causing trouble for his sergeant Babe Hardy. James Finlayson is the captain! Longtime Sap James Fauset says this is his all-time favorite movie! It was the first Laurel and Hardy film he saw.
We'll close out the evening with Marc De Coninck's 2017 Tribute to Stan,
plus the Emmy-winning documentary "Revenge of the Sons of the Desert" (1987).
